Zion is located two miles east and two miles north of Hampton, at the corner of 16th and "Y" roads.  Sunday Worship is 10 am with Adult Bible Class beginning at 9 am.  Zion also hosts 6:30 pm Sunday evening worship at East Park Villa in Aurora to which the public is invited.  For more information on activities and events at Zion, contact the church office at 402-725-3320. PEORIA, ILL. — There were 4,775 Lutheran women of the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod in attendance at the 34th biennial convention of the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML). The June 23-26 event was held at the Civic Center in Peoria, Ill., with “Being With Jesus - Living on the Edge” as the chosen theme. Deb Burma, noted speaker and author, was keynote speaker. Katie Stam, Miss America 2009, was inspirational speaker with the Rev. Dr. Ken Klaus, past speaker of “The Lutheran Hour”, proclaimer for the opening communion service. Other speakers were the Rev. Matthew Harrison, president of the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod and Phyllis Wallace, host of the “Woman to Woman’ radio talk show. New mission grants were also selected. Over the past two years, this organization of Lutheran women raised $1.25 million for various mission projects.

Jesus tells us that there is sorrow that comes with the birthing process but great joy when the baby arrives (John 16:21). And though there are differences, the adoption process is filled with a similar pattern of sadness and then joy. In fact, the pain of waiting can be even more difficult than physical birth pangs. In this 365-day devotional the Priebes have provided the church with a wonderful gift to serve waiting couples with gospel grace and hope. I trust that God will use this book in ways beyond what we can ask or imagine as the church pursues adoption for the glory of God.
