Electronic Theatre In-depth Review: Virtua Tennis 4

&Nbsp;           With the ongoing Wimbledon competition Virtua Tennis 4 - the latest and possibly the most popular tennis game released on current-generation consoles – is seeing something of a resurgence. Though only released a few weeks ago, it’s placement in the UK sales charts has most certainly been buoyed by the hugely popular sporting event, and deservedly so, as no matter what level of interest you have in the sport there’ll be something entertaining to find in Virtua Tennis 4 .             For the gamers having grown-up with SEGA’s Virtua franchise as a welcome and familiar landmark of progress, Virtua Tennis 4 offers a deep and comprehensive career mode in the form of World Tour. The mode plays like a board game, with players discarding different movement tokens in exchange use your movement tokens, with stars needed to be collected/earned to enter tournaments and bonuses available if you slow your horses a little once in a while. Players will take part in various menu-based events to earn stars, exhibition matches and tournaments, as well as Training mini-games.             Eight different mini-games are available, playable directly from the main menu as a one-off or offering a statistics boost when encountered in the World Tour gameplay mode. Most of the mini-games are a little less eccentric than fans of the Virtua Tennis series may be expecting, but their increasing level of challenge remains enjoyable. Ranging from targeting moving targets to activating walls in order to wrong-foot an opponent, keeping a rally going under extreme conditions and an egg-hunt obviously inspired by the 16-bit Flicky , Virtua Tennis 4 ’s selection of mini-games isn’t as half-baked as that of many similar games. of that asset are the Arcade mode and online gameplay.

Electronic Theatre In-depth Review: Virtua Tennis 4

Those more inclined to pick up Virtua Tennis 4 specifically because of it's relation to the sport will undoubtedly find the depth in the control system more appealing than the depth in the World Tour mode, and for exercise of that asset are the Arcade

Movie fans must stand 'magnited' over theater problems

Ion RPU won't boot/connect to console - Electronic Theatre Controls

Hello,

I am a relatively new programmer so please bear with me if this is a stupid question.

I am attempting to connect a R V I as an RPU client to my Ion (master.) At present, the RVI won't even boot up much less connect to the console. I have tried it hard-wired into the theatre's network, routed with the console, and into the console itself. In each of these scenarios I get the same error message (but a different one if I don't have the e-net cable plugged in at all.) The boot screen reads:

"Client MAC ADDR: 00 00 50 28 63 A5 GUID: FFFFFFFF FFFF FFFF FFFFFFFFFFFF

PXE-E53: No Boot Filename Recieved

PXE-M0F: Exiting Intel Boot Agent

DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER"

I am unsure if this means there is something wrong with the RVI itself, or if it has something to do with the way the console is networked. I have tried altering the network settings on the console any number of ways: turning on DCHP, changing to a router, even eventually turning them off altogether. Nothing has changed this error message once. (However now I am stuck in offline mode on the console with no idea how to get the Network option back in the CIA where it was.)

Is there a setting I am missing on the console either in Primary or in the shell? Or is does it sound like there is something wrong with the RVI? (It wouldn't be the first time the rental company sent us bad equipment.) Like I said, I am an inexperienced programmer so any thoughts on how to proceed from here would be most helpful. Thanks!

Beyond that, a little more helpful information: If you have disconnected the network connection from your Ion or if it doesn't see the network, it will report as offline just above the command line. This is a normal reaction. You should still have control of your lights via DMX.  If you do not have control, it is possible that the console is booting into an offline mode (similar to the mode used by the client software on a computer). To correct this, press [Displays] to bring up the browser, exit Ion, and launch as Primary.

The default network settings for Ion are:

Local IP: 10.101.100.101 Time Service(SNTP): On

In your case, it sounds like there is a hardware issue or BIOS setting issue on your RVI. The unit is attempting to boot from the network, not finding a place to boot from, and moving on to the local disk where it is not finding what it expected. This could be from a USB drive that it is trying to boot from. Remove all external devices and try rebooting. If it still presents the same error, further troubleshooting with Tech Services will be needed.
