Eastminster Presbyterian Church, 2240 Woodruff Road, Simpsonville, will offer Faith at the Movies, a 10-week movie series with viewing at 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays starting June 8 and follow-up discussions at 9:15 a.m. the following Sundays. A potluck dinner starts at 6 p.m. Wednesdays. The schedule is “Simon Birch" on June 8; “Amazing Grace” on June 15; “Dead Man Walking” on June 29; “Invictus” on July 13; “Twelve Angry Men” on July 20; “Gran Torino” on July 27; “Faith Like Potatoes” on Aug. 3; “Shawshank Redemption” on Aug. 10; “Shadowlands” on Aug. 17; and “Spitfire Grill” on Aug. 24. The hours are 5-6:45 p.m. Wednesdays and 9 a.m.-noon Thursdays. God's Pantry, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, depends on volunteers and donors. Food is packed for distribution at 1312-A Old Stage Road in Mauldin. Call 963-4441. • Simpsonville First Free Will Baptist Church, 1403 E. Georgia Road, Simpsonville, will present the program Kids with A King at 7:30 p.m. Wednesdays for children in grades 1-4. The program features Bible activities, games, singing and more. The church also will offer the His Hands Sign Team at 7:30 p.m. for students in grades 5-12. Participants will learn to use signing to communicate the Gospel through song. • Power Hour for Preschoolers, a program for children ages 18 months-4 years and their parents, grandparents or caregivers, is offered from 6-7 p.m. the first and third Tuesday of the month at Abiding Peace Lutheran Church, 401 Batesville Road, Simpsonville. The early childhood program includes Bible stories, music, art and snack time. Call 288-4867. The Five Forks Baptist Church Computer User Group will meet at 7 p.m. the first Tuesday of the month from September through June in the church conference room, 112 Batesville Road, Simpsonville. The room is set up before meeting time, and early arrivers can obtain help regarding individual hardware or software issues. Topics are geared toward early and intermediate computer users.
