A. Interference is a common problem with wireless networks. Microwaves, baby monitors and wireless phone handsets all cause interference. Make sure the router is away from these.
Put the router in the center of the house. Keep it away from walls, especially concrete or brick. A wireless signal can pass through walls but is weakened. You might just have an older router. Try upgrading to a newer 802.11n.
