Do not buy what you think it will replace your vacuum cleaner. I have one. 2 years and a very good vacuum on hand that I use once a week (though I probably should vacuum twice a week)For all the mess that occur between the two (probably 2-3x per day), I use the Shark to make my life easier.

I am currently a stay at home mom with a child and leaves crumbs everywhere. We live in a small apartment, so the dining room is a spitting steps from the living room and it is almost inevitable to have babies (my child, my child's friends, children of my friends ... ) for their muffins, snacks, crackers, pretzels and around the show.I got more sharks because my daughter was terrified of loud sounds and my regular vacuum, but they found that the nice bonus is that it's so much easier to lug it out 2 - 3 times a day to pick up the crumbs right after snack time (and thus prevent it from being ground into the carpet) than to get out my heavy Bissell.

Pros: It is lightweight, quiet, convenient and effective to pick up the crumbs visible if used properly. Cons: There is no heavy or deep cleaning, the price tag may be steep, Shark sweepers are known to fail after a few months to a year.

My mother has an older version of the shark sweeper, which is much quieter than this one. She is a waitress and uses it to store the ground under the tables between customers. Obviously, it is subjecting it to use is quite heavy, and is now on its third. Recommendations on making one last as long as possible: sweeper clean the bottom after a few uses (which includes pulling the hair accumulated in the brush and wash the drip tray) and charge the battery according to instructions (do not let stand for longer than 19 hours at a charging time, you will reduce battery life).

No big deal, just wash your hands after.
